PEMA 28th Annual Golf Tournament

Legacy had a fun time attending PEMA's 28th Annual Golf Tournament at Coyote Hills Golf Course. We were able to catch up with several colleagues, enjoy the fresh air, and support two incredible causes St. Vincent's Meals on Wheels and the YMCA's community programs.
The Professional Environmental Management Association (PEMA) has been a key force in advancing the environmental industry since 1991. Based in Southern California, PEMA cultivates professional growth through education, collaboration, and networking opportunities. The organization regularly hosts events that bring together professionals from all corners of the environmental field, and the annual golf tournament is one of its most anticipated gatherings.
PEMA is deeply committed to community engagement, demonstrated through its ongoing support of charitable organizations such as St. Vincent Meals on Wheels and the YMCA’s community programs.
St. Vincent’s Meals on Wheels provides over 100,000 meals each month to homebound seniors and vulnerable residents in need.
The YMCA continues to make a lasting impact by empowering youth, promoting wellness for all ages, and strengthening communities.
The Legacy team sponsored the Drone Drive on Hole 7, where the tee box provided a stunning bird’s-eye view of the course.
We also set up a snack station to keep players fueled and hosted some friendly games of cornhole, which added a little extra energy and competition to the day.
To further support the charity, the Gateway Golf Group partnered by offering their Drone Ball Drop service. For a charitable donation, players could have a drone carry their ball and release it over the pin, giving them a chance to reduce strokes. Most competitors took advantage of the drone service, helping to raise significant funds, and impressively, over half of those who participated scored a hole-in-one.
It was a day well spent on the course, and we were proud to be part of an event that brought together industry professionals for a great cause. PEMA’s Annual Golf Tournament is more than just a fun event. It is a reflection of the environmental community’s shared commitment to connection, giving back, and supporting those in need. We’re grateful for the opportunity to sponsor, participate, and contribute to such meaningful work. We’re already looking forward to next year!
